Oh what’s that you say? ย You have missed me? ย ahh choice!! (spoken in true KIWI style of course!) …ahh see how easy it is to make you all smile! ๐Ÿ™‚

Six and the city!

Did you get it? I was speaking KIWI again! ๐Ÿ™‚ Well ok, the first bit was just a play on words really, but I did love that show so why not use it when I can right! ๐Ÿ™‚

Alors…today I was reminded of how powerful the brain is and how it works very hard to keep us safe!

I had arranged to meet one of my ex colleagues Cheryl Alderman who has recently set up her own business Be Ultimateย and now works as a Mentor and Life Coach. It was great to connect with this vibrant, vivacious and beautiful woman (who just happens to be a KIWI!) again and I’m pretty sure I scored a free Life Coaching session out of her over coffee! ๐Ÿ™‚ We met mid morning at Circular Quay and took our front row seats overlooking the beautiful Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House on a gorgeous day when a huge cruise liner was taking pride of place in the harbour and the Sydney Sun Gods had our back! ๐Ÿ™‚

Amazing what you learn forgetting what you learn!

Conversing with Cheryl was easy and enjoyable, like two old friends that had lost contact but yet were able to pick up where they left off…and between you and me she is so good at what she does! ย We seemed to cover so many topics and I was reminded just how wonderful the human being as a being is! Cheryl was able to tap into my brain and literally open me up to new possibilities with so many choices! I don’t know how she did it really but she did and I want to thank her from my Murielle heart… I now have a whole lot of things to think about! ย ๐Ÿ™‚

Something French!

After I said my au revoir to Cheryl I decided that I would stay and enjoy the ambience of this beautiful city where I choose to live for a little while longer.

As I was in the vicinity of the Opera Quay cinema I went to see what movies they had on offer and found to my delight a French movie titled ‘Monsieur Lazhar’ about an Algerian immigrant who is hired to replace an elementary school teacher who committed suicide in a year 6 classroom. ย It is set in Montreal and having learned of the incident in the local newspaper Bachir Lazhar makes his way to the school and offers his services as a substitute teacher. He is in the right place at the right time and even though he was never a teacher in Algeria he seemed to be able to connect with the students and help them heal after their teacher’s passing. I really enjoyed this movie for its candid and heart felt approach and if I were to rate it then I would give it a very hearty 4 stars! ๐Ÿ™‚

After my movie finished I may have (though I’m not confessing to this right!) hypothetically found my way into another movie without paying and proceeded to watch the movie ‘Arbitrage’ which had Richard Gere in it so I can’t enlighten you on the plot as I was fixated on his gorgeous face, body and head of thick grey hair… oh yes, where was I? mmm… yes that’s right, I was in Richard Gere heaven of course!! Though this is a purely hypothetical statement! ย ssssh…. if you tell on me I won’t be allowed back in! LOL

All in all it was a great day for me and thanks to my lovely friend for the reminder of what a great city I live in (for now!) ๐Ÿ™‚

On that basis I’ll leave you with a snippet of her wisdom ๐Ÿ™‚

“The good news is that you can make a CHOICE to make a CHANGE!”

a Bientot!

  • Oh Muriel, sounds like you are speaking directly to me! It’s so scary to make a life change, but I know it’s in my power if I choose to!! Great blog and I love Richard Gere too ~ another reason I think we may be twins separated at birth, lol

    • Roniece

Thanks Muriel… oui, definitely change is a scary thing but I now know it’s my choice to make! Funny how you forget until you are reminded! ๐Ÿ™‚ and Richard Gere… mmmmmmm Muriel…. he’s mine!! LOL!!!!
