A Paris Journey… / Others / Research…

Where to go for 2011!

I have just started my research on where I would like to go for my next year’s vacation!

Relax everyone, I’m not doing my countdown yet!!! It’s all merely research! 🙂

Of course I do intend to return to Paris so all my French friends who are reading this can breathe a sigh of relief to know that you will indeed get to see my smiling face again in 2011! What?? did I just hear some of you groan at the thought of seeing the crazy blonde woman with a fetish for Moules again??? LOL!!   🙂

Tunisia or Morocco?

So, I am thinking of planning a 10 day visit prior to Paris to either TUNISIA or MOROCCO… to be honest, I know nothing about either country however I will do my research on both of them in the coming weeks and then report back my decision.

I have quite a few friends in Paris who are from Tunisia and of course, it goes without saying that they speak very highly of its beauty and scenery so I would be happy to go visit, providing the Visas work out, but I’m pretty sure as an Australian Passport Holder I can get a visitor’s Visa without a problem. I am keen to check out another Cosmos Tour (I have done quite a few now with Cosmos and enjoy them immensely!) and I see they are offering an 8 day tour of Tunisia at the end of August which would be good for me as it would then have me back in Paris to attend Jacques Melac Grape Harvest on the 10th October.

My good friends Michael and Eric were keen to take me to Tunisia for a weekend while I was in Paris last month, but it was too last minute and it didn’t quite work out but not to worry, there is always next year to look forward to! 🙂

Another country I would like to visit is Morocco…. I have heard many good things about this country of 32 million according to Wikipedia!  Hmmm… I wonder if I could arrange a meeting with the King of Morocco… might have to pull a few strings for that one huh! 🙂

I have heard that shopping is great in both places so one thing is for certain.. I will not be flying Etihad Airways!!  (hmmm.. on that note, I’m still waiting to hear back from a Ms Jessica Dryden too!)

Would love your feedback and advice on helping me make my decision…. feel free to leave a comment 🙂

I have been to both countries a few times and I much prefer Morrocco to Tunisia : much nicer scenery and towns, and better food. Personal opinion of course. Tunisia is cheaper though.

thanks Anne.. great feedback lovely.. xx

Why does it have to be an Arab country ? I mean, for security reasons perhaps you should stay on European territory ? I would.

Hi Gitte..no reason other than I have friends who are Tunisian …. I think they would ensure my safety if I went there, actually I know they would…. 🙂

Oh I’m so excited for you Roniece. And as for being an Arab country, it’s a great way to better understand the culture better; their warmth, friendship, and open hearts. As for August…TRES TRES CHAUD!! Let me know though, as I’ll certainly want to tag along…Cosmos or not…unless it includes the liquid version!

Thanks Michael… 🙂 I agree with you on their warmth, friendship and open hearts.. I know my friends who now live in Paris, definitely fall into that category! 🙂
If I don’t do the Cosmos tour then I will most likely look for a resort on the coast to hang out in…so if you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know! Of course the main criteria is that they definitely have Cosmo’s on their drink menu!! 🙂

Going to Casablanca?. At least you will always have Paris and if you don’t go you will regret it. Maybe not now but later and, for the rest of your life.

Always wanted an excuse to write that!!

LOL!! thanks George I’ll be sure and put it on my list! 🙂
