A Paris Journey… / My Ramblings / Rain, Rain…

Bonjour!

Mon Dieu! It’s been raining Koala’s and Kangaroo’s here in the land Down Under!

The Rain Gods visited Sydney early this week and they brought with them some major flooding and even managed to cause numerous accidents on the roads.  On Tuesday I drove up north with my boss and we were caught in the deluge of rain while driving. I have to say it was a tad scary as the trucks were speeding past us even though they are supposed to travel at 100kms on the open roads but these trucks were definitely doing over the limit and as they passed us the huge spray of water came our way. I tried my best to stay calm even though my knuckles may have been showing white on the steering wheel 🙂 Needless to say we made it back safely but I tell you those big trucks scared the bejesus out of me!

The following is a conversation that my boss had with me whilst driving up north the other week… it was a beautiful day and I was driving with the window down and it was a windy road with lots of green trees and foliage around, very scenic in other words.

Donc.. as I was driving along the windy road all of a sudden my boss taps me on the arm and says ‘wind up your window darlin, there’s kangaroos and koalas on these roads’ ……At that point I nearly had conniptions at the visual of a Koala coming in thru my window while I was driving!!  It was hilariously funny and I nearly had to pull over to regain my composure!!  I guess you had to be there but I tell you I have got some mileage out of that one and most days while driving my boss around I still manage to mention it!!  🙂

Some Muriel news!

In unrelated news to the heading I’m pleased to report that I’m seriously thinking about expanding ‘The Muriel’s Club’ concept (which is a group I set up on Facebook) and taking it to new heights!  Of course my dear friend Michael (in Paris) and my beautiful son Marc have been encouraging me along the way and Marc has even created a new Logo for us to use and promote in The Muriel’s Club.

I’m now thinking of putting together a plan that will involve some Muriel travels (of course the first stop will be Paris!) … but first I might start off with some T Shirts and see what happens there. I’ll be sure and keep you all posted and who knows my Muriel’s Club might become a hit on the international circuit for Muriel’s! … 🙂 well someone has to be enthusiastic about the idea right? Just saying! …..

The basic characteristics of a Muriel are:

  • we have a strong sense of who we are
  • we know how to have fun
  • we enjoy a good wine or equally a good cup of tea!
  • we are passionate about our friends and family
  • we love and care for our animals
  • and most importantly we love to laugh!

Alors… if you think you are a Muriel and would like to become a Muriel, then all you need to do is message me on my Facebook account or use the contact form on this page and I will make it happen! 🙂

Please note: Only Muriel’s, No Maurice’s allowed I’m afraid!

I think the attached pic describes a Muriel to a tee! (thanks to my awesome cousin and Muriel Adele for letting me use this pic!) 🙂

a Bientot!

Bisous
