Adjusting to…

Sydney life again!

A Paris Journey… / My Ramblings / Adjusting to…

Donc.. I’m back in Sydney now and oui, I so want to be back in Paris!

Jetlag Gods!

*sighs out loud* to noone in particular! Oui, the famous Jetlag Gods (JLG) have me in their hands and have been waking me at a reasonable hour of 04h30 which isn’t too bad considering they could have easily made it a 02h00 wake up call!

To be honest (wait, I’m always honest!) πŸ™‚ I think my body is adjusting easier each year with the time change and hopefully this time round it may end around the 5 day mark… but for now it’s JLG 3 : Murielle 0!

Feel free to check my FB page for updates re the JLG! πŸ™‚

Oui, I know it had to happen… the equally famous PPD (Post Paris Depression) Gods also have me in their hands and for the last few days my thoughts have been a mix of adjusting to my Sydney life and yearning for my Paris life! It is what it is and I know I just have to embrace all the emotions as I go thru this adjustment phase. I’m not going to dwell on it as it may result in me becoming a blubbering mess again…for once I’m kinda pleased there is no Picard in Sydney… just saying! πŸ™‚

Finding a job!

Donc… I now need to focus (quiet please I’m trying to focus!) on finding a job I guess! I can’t believe it’s been 10 months already already! (just felt the need to overemphasise that point!) πŸ™‚ I’m still not sure what I want to do or who I want to work for and I don’t blame you all for raising an eyebrow at that statement but it’s true! I know I don’t want to return to corporate life again as I’m over the stress and politics of being in that type of environment. I know I’m good (no, great!) with people and can easily and confidently interact with anyone so there has to be something I can do along these lines right! *sighs*…. focus, I must focus!! (Michael, see I clearly know the meaning of that word and how to put it into context!) πŸ™‚

Alors… before I forget I would like to thank all those dear friends and acquaintances for their support and kind commentary on my blog posts during my sojourn in Paris over the last couple of months. You certainly warmed my heart and inspired me to continue with my blog and I really thank you from the bottom of my Murielle heart! Β My dear friends Jane, Michael and Eric really deserve the most thanks though as it’s them I blogged about mostly… πŸ™‚ such great blogging material they were too! I meant that in the nicest possible way I swear I did! πŸ™‚ Β or maybe I meant it remotely?? LOL! xxx I love you all xxx

Donc… I have nothing more to add… je sais, so unlike me non????

a Bientot!

Muriel, you need a job and I hate mine. We are both fabulous with people as well as both intelligent and hard working. We need to come up with a Commonwealth plan that can use all our strengths and our shared love of Paris! So put your thinking cap on and let’s come up with something grand!
Welcome back and the jet lag shall pass (just like wind, hehehe)

    • Roniece

I hear ya Muriel! Love your thinking!! πŸ™‚ Thanks for always supporting my blog.. you are a very special and wonderful Muriel!! xx

    • Roniece

thanks lovely… say Hi to Uncle for me.. see you in November! xxxx

  • Michael

I am SURE that everybody’s happy to have you back. It was a fun time while you were here and we too are going through our depressive state at your absence. It has even been raining ever since you left which only goes to prove the point. Did you see that dog? Wait…focus… In no time you’ll be back unless you go and get yourself a job (what ARE you thinking dear?)! Keep us updated and lets us know if there’s anything we can do to help. I think Jo’s suggestion is a great one (wait, have I heard that idea before?) so if you won’t listen to me, listen to Jo. She’s obviously a smart cookie. Have you tried those new cookies? Wait…focus…

    • Roniece

LOL! see!! I told everyone you were great blogging material and you just proved it! Love your work!! πŸ™‚ xxx

Er… I don’t quite understand this ” maybe I meant it remotely” bit… nor this “For once I’m kinda please there is no Picard in Sydney…” LOL

It was a pleasure seeing you Roniece, as always, but you know it.

    See you soooooooooon!

Merci my MrW!! … there is a remote chance that the interest owing on the SIM will be paid too!! πŸ™‚

  • hi Roniece. The Jetlag Gods have got me too. 0330h and I am wide awake. Just got back from the US yesterday.

Can I join you and Jo in your Commonwealth plan to give up my job and live in Paris, although I actually wanted to stay in the US as well.
Falling a bit in love there, I think…horror! is this being unfaithful?Oh dear, why can we not be statisfied with what we have? Sigh,!
    Love Denise

    • Roniece

sorry for the late reply lovely!! Would love you to be part of ‘our’ little commonwealth plan…we need to set up a Muriel Think Tank! Glad to hear you loved the US and I won’t tell anyone that you have been unfaithful! LOL!!!
      love you xxx

  • Michael

Off to lunch with Jane today before she leaves tommorow. We’ll raise a…wow look at that dog…to you,
